Odds & Ends

Did you miss us? Nate and I decided to go MIA last week (it's part of our artistic license, deal with it), but we're back in full force for Coachella week! Tomorrow and Thursday we'll be revealing our official Coachella schedules along with our normally acerbic commentary, so stay tuned. There are tons of set time conflicts to resolve this year, but we have no compunctions about Solomonically cutting the baby in half. Until then, here are some quick nuggets to chew on:

- If you'd like to play conflict resolution without our guidance, here are the coachella set times:

- If you're wondering why Mew disappeared from the Saturday's setlist, here is the official word from their Myspace.

"MEW are sorry to announce that as a result of unforeseen health issues in the MEW family, we will need to cancel our scheduled performance at Coachella this year. We are extremely disappointed by this cancellation and look forward to playing again soon before our new and old fans. We are sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused and hope to see you soon. Thanks for all your support and understanding."

- I'm hearing that LCD SOUNDSYSTEM (playing Fri 9:05-9:50) are encouraging show attendees to wear all white in honor of their set. So if you're gonna stick with LCD over Little Dragon and Imogen Heap, be apprised.

- Today brought the official U.S. Release of Two Door Cinema Club's, "Tourist History" after its UK release last month. I've been anxiously awaiting this record, which features the undeniably catchy single, "Undercover Martyn." There's also a Passion Pit remix of the same track if you're into that kind of thing. Personally, I'm of the opinion that PP have yet to create a credible remix, but that's a rant for another day...

-Finally, excited to announce I will be at the Echo tomorrow to see The Ruby Suns and Toro Y Moi, two outstanding bands that were unceremoniously left off the Coachella line-up. Let you know what kind of awesomeness ensues...

We'll be dropping our Coachella picks in the days ahead...

- Matt
